Today, Sunday December 15th, marks the 40th anniversary of The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Magic Kingdom.  The original attraction opened in 1967 at Disneyland, and it was 6 more years before it would make its debut in the Magic Kingdom.  The fan favorite attraction was the first major addition since the 1971 opening of the park. Attention Disney Pin Traders

On November 28th, Walt Disney World will be releasing a new pin to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.  The pin was created from Marc Davis’s original sketch.  Marc was one of the original imagineers that worked on the pirates attraction.  The hinged pin opens up to show the famous scene of the prisoners trying to get the key from the dog.  This is a limited edition Continue Reading
