Beginning July 17, Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney California Adventure will be closing for a month-long refurbishment!
As of current, the ride is expect to re-open beginning August 18, according to the official Disneyland Resort website.
For those not familiar with Toy Story Midway Mania, the ride can be found at several of the Disney Parks around the world. Below is the official synopsis of the ride:
Andy’s got some new games—and the toys are taking over. Put on your 3D glasses, take a seat in a swiveling carnival car and twirl through the portal to a wild world of toys.
Grab your Spring-Action Launcher and shoot at moving objects with virtual darts, baseballs, eggs and other toy-jectiles. It’s a fast-paced, spinning trip around Andy’s room, complete with Toy Story friends Hamm, Rex, Trixie, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and more.
Compete with other players for the highest score on all the action-packed games. May the best toy win!
If you are planning to visit the theme park resort during this time and are bummed by this news it’s worth noting other attractions will be coming out of their refurbishments during this refurbishment! This includes Soarin’ Around the World and Alice in Wonderland!
Soarin’ Around The World is set to reopen on July 15, prior to the closure of Toy Story Midway Mania. Alice in Wonderland, located in Disneyland Park, is expected to open July 21.
