If you are looking for something EPIC to do to ring in the new year, we have just the event for you! Thanks to Jennie at Raglan Road for providing the details.

Two rousing New Year’s Eve countdowns.  Two blockbuster 10-minute medleys of Irish, holiday and New Year’s tunes.  Thirty musicians and dancers, audio and light technicians.  And don’t forget the complimentary Champagne for all legal imbibers during both countdowns.

An Epic New Year’s Eve at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs will be an unforgettable kickoff to 2019 when the clock strikes midnight in Ireland at 7 p.m. (Eastern Time) and again at midnight (ET) says the pub’s production manager, David Hayes, a Dublin native and multi-instrumentalist who’s directed Irish television and musical productions for decades.

“Our Epic New Year’s Eve celebration will the first of its kind with the entire Raglan Road cast of bands and dancers featured in the two countdowns,” promises Hayes, who oversees all Raglan Road shows and hand picks the Irish talent who perform there. “It’s a specially devised routine to give our guests a New Year to talk about for decades.”

Ciaran Keating, show choreographer, says the two Epic New Year’s Eve countdowns and music-and-dance performances will surround guests seated at tables and the pub bars. “It’ll be a mix of Irish trad and holiday tunes and, in the middle of it all, we’ll ask the audience to sing along to Auld Lang Syne,” says Keating, a champion Irish dancer who’s performed on screen and Ireland’s top stages.  “As New Year’s arrives, we’ll continue with the grand finale.”  Anyone who’s heard the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys perform “I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” with lyrics by Woody Guthrie, will know the finale is not to be missed.

There is no cover charge to spend New Year’s Eve at Raglan Road, where sparkling holiday lights and other décor present a festive backdrop to the end-of-year party featuring live Irish bands full-on jamming with their guitars, fiddles, flutes, bodhrans and other instruments.  Professional Irish dancers in colorful costumes will accompany musicians with lively Irish jigs and reels.  Guests can order from the full menu of modern Irish cuisine, craft beers, cocktails, whiskeys, flights and more.

Tables can be reserved at 407/938-0300.  Guests also can find seats at one of the pub’s old Irish bars.
