Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line Hurricane Irma Updates (9/16/17) #HurricaneIrma

A week after Hurricane Irma started to reek havoc on Florida, Disney Cruise Line and the Walt Disney World Resort are still releasing updates to guests to keep us all in the know. Below are the most recent Hurricane Irma updates from Disney Cruise Line and the Walt Disney World Resort. The call centers are now open but Disney has asked that guests only call if their question and/or modification is related to a current on-site stay or a check-in prior to September 18, 2017 to give them a chance to help guests who could not travel due to Irma. Walt Disney World guests with final payments currently due can either use the online system, or automated phone system, or call in on or after 9/18/17 to speak to a Cast Member.  Disney Cruise Line guests with final payments that are currently due should try their best to process those payments online through the Disney Cruise Line website.
Also please note that in the update below Disney has confirmed that the bad Facebook Fort Wilderness rumor TMSM addressed earlier this week was false information and that the Campgrounds will not be permanently closed. At the moment the Jungle Cruise is closed due to Hurricane Irma damage, but the parks are working hard to reopen this fan favorite as quickly as possible!

Hurricane Irma Update for Walt Disney World – September 16, 2017 –9:00 AM EDT
Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney Springs have returned to normal, advertised operating hours.

DISNEY RESORTS
All Disney Resorts have begun normal operation, with the exception of Fort Wilderness Campground and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas.
We anticipate that Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will reopen next week, but it remains closed at this time as we clean up the property following the storm. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge remains open.
To allow Disney’s Fort Wilderness to prepare the property after Hurricane Irma, all shows at The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ will be cancelled up to and including Tuesday, September 19. Any existing reservations will be automatically canceled and refunded.
The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort are tentatively scheduled to reopen on Sunday, September 17.
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will reopen on Monday, September 18.
