Construction Updates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Photos)

It seems like every time we go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, something new is going on. As you know, the entire back end of the park is undergoing a complete makeover with the additions of Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land. There used to be just piles of dirt in view, but we’re starting to see new attractions take form, on both ends of the new area. Towards the Star Wars side, buildings are going up where the Streets of America used to be. Take a look.

Over on the Toy Story Land side of the park, previously the Backlot Tour, you can see the roller coaster that’s being built. Also, there are big tarps up over One Man’s Dream, which is a little concerning because I do love that attraction, and I hope they don’t get rid of it.

The first thing we noticed when we walked into the park, was that the Star Wars stage was gone in front of the Great Movie Ride. The Star Wars stage was put in that location last year, and had a Star Wars show that ran throughout the day. That show is no longer on the park schedule, but the Star Wars March was still listed. I was surprised, being that the show always had people around watching, and it wasn’t very old. Truthfully, the front area looks better without the stage. There are now walkways where the stage used to be, similar to how it was when the Sorcerer’s Hat was there.

So, that’s the latest from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s been fun to see the changes and progress, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Stay tuned to TMSM for more updates as we see them!
