Some media outlets are reporting there is a new television show coming out that will be about Disneyland mythology and will be called Hyperion. If the name Hyperion sounds familiar, it was the street the original Disney studios were located on. In 1925, when Walt and Roy were making the Alice comedies they decided they needed a studio. Walt and Roy put $400 down on a plot of land that was between Griffith Park Boulevard and Monon Street at 2719 Hyperion Avenue.
Back to the new show, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters who brought us Agent Carter have created the new show. Unfortunately details are under wraps right now, but its said it will be based on the original Disney theme park mythology. It’s said that the duo is executive producing the show with former Disney executive turned producer Jason Reed.
As all Disney fans know, there are so many stories about things that have happened at the Happiest Place on Earth, maybe this show is going to highlight them and finally give the actual details so the rumors can be put to rest. Personally, I love learning little things about Disney and how or why things were done the way they were. What things would you like to learn more about? Tell us in the comments section.
