Watching 4th of July Fireworks from the Contemporary! Our review!

This 4th of July was our first holiday as Florida residents. At first we weren’t sure what to do, but we were invited by Ron and Lenise from Kingdom Camera Rentals to join them at the Contemporary Resort to view the MK fireworks on the 12th floor. Until then, we had only seen the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the ground level. Actually, the night before, we watched the amazing 360 Fireworks from behind Cinderella Castle. I have to say, they were really beautiful. It’s like sensory overload, fireworks going off from everywhere….. pretty awesome.

Since we had seen the fireworks the night before, we knew they would be spectacular, so we hoped to get a good video to be able to share with our Main Streeters. The lounge on the 12th floor of the Contemporary is really nice, and has an amazing view of the Magic Kingdom area of property. You can see everything from up there….. I mean everything. The Castle, Space Mountain, New Fantasyland, Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, etc!! What a view! We sampled some delicious snacks before the show. The Contemporary had complimentary cheese and crackers, crab cakes, breads, spring rolls, and towards the end chocolate mousse and cupcakes. My kids were thrilled with the desserts!

We had our spot set up on the balcony. Lenise and Andy (WDW Shutterbug) had their tri-pods ready to go to get some birds eye footage of the show. We too had a spot set up for video! About 5 minutes prior to showtime, the speakers piped in the music and announcement that were playing at the same time on the ground at the Magic Kingdom. It was just like being there, only higher! The music began right at 10:00, and the show really delivered. It was really something to see, watching the fireworks going off from all around the area. I had never spent the 4th of July in such a magical setting! The kids were excited, and we ended up getting some great video. Afterwards, the group of us headed down to the Magic Kingdom and got on a few rides before the park closed. A great time was had by all! Thanks again to Kingdom Camera Rentals for being gracious enough to invite our family to join them for a magical evening. You can see our video below, enjoy!
