Yesterday, a huge fish tank at T-Rex in Downtown Disney Orlando burst open, sending guests running and employees hopping trying to catch fish! Apparently, there was a leak in one of the large fish tanks, and a few guests got wet, which alerted people to the problem. Eventually, the tank burst open out onto the dining room.
Witnesses said employees scooped up the fish in a net as the water level dropped quickly and brought out trash cans and long-handled squeegees. Bystanders praised the staff’s quick response. There were luckily no reports of injury. I can’t even imagine. Those tanks are enormous, must have been a horribly frantic scene! According to the Orlando Sentinel, employees were not responding to questions at this time. See video below, courtesy of YouTube user “Chase.”
