Congratulations to Disney.com and DisneyJunior.com

congrats

Our friends over at Disney Interactive reported today that Disney.com and DisneyJunior.com have both won “Best In Class” websites in the kids category at the Interactive Media Awards.  This is the highest honor that the award hands out.  In order to be chosen for the award  you must display excellence in design, content, feature functionality, usability, standards compliance, and cross-browser compatibility.

The talented individuals who maintain and run these websites are some of the best.  When running  websites the size of Disney.com and DisneyJuior.com, there is a lot of work that goes into making sure everything represents the Disney name.  From creating and linking all the pages, creating images, videos, to making sure security is in place to protect their visitors these people are very busy.  Disney prides themselves on their reputation and everyday they strive to live up to that.  Awards like this just show that others recognize the work that is put into it.  Even though only these 2 won the award, all the Disney sites across the information highway are all winners.

Congratulations to the teams that maintain and run these sites.
