Obviously the main thing that brings us all together here at TMSM is Disney. We love Disney. The Parks, the rides, the resorts, the food, the nostalgia. Disney makes us feel like we’re kids again, no matter how old we are. Disney is where we want to be, and if we can’t be there, we look for other outlets when we are at home. TMSM is that outlet for me, and we love having other people who feel the same way here with us.

Being that the site is growing daily, we are becoming a more diverse crowd. We have Disney people who are “old school” and prefer the history that Disney holds. We have “new school” fans, who really get into current events and pop culture. It’s hard to please every person every day, that’s why we try to mix things up as much as possible. We don’t claim to be an old fashioned site. We’re not Disney Historians by far, but we do like to look back and write on those nostalgic things. We’re not all about being “hip” per say either, but I like to keep up on current events and stay in on what Disney people are talking about.

So, being that we’re a “middle of the road” kind of place, you will see diversity here, as well as TMSM on Facebook and Twitter. I love to make pictures to share, that are of Walt, Mickey, the Castle, etc. To me, those kind of images bring back such a good feeling deep down. You know, the warm-fuzzies, right? But…. there is also that other side of me, the side that finds current trends and humor/pop culture to be awesome, and sometimes hysterical. I consider myself to have a good sense of humor. Some call it stupid humor, because I laugh at a lot of things, but I’d rather be this way than be a stick in the mud! It’s hard to find a middle ground at TMSM sometimes, but I try.

In the last couple of weeks, I find myself pausing, when choosing what pictures to create or share. The reason for this, is because I don’t want to “offend” anyone, or make people think we’re on a certain track. We like to post things related to “old school” Disney images, but we also will do some “new school” things as well. Here’s an example. A week or so ago, I posted an image with a lady named Sweet Brown on it on Facebook. Yes, the “ain’t nobody got time for that” lady. It was a joke, most found it funny. Some did not. Someone told me not to “ghetto up” Disney. That wasn’t my intent. This lady is a big part of Pop Culture right now, and I find her pretty darn funny, so do others. Current jokes aren’t meant to offend, just as history articles aren’t meant to isolate or bore anyone. TMSM has a big following, full of different sorts of people. I do my best to meet the needs and wants of all of our members, no matter what you are personally interested in.

Being that our Disney Family is growing, I will continue to “keep it real” so to speak. I will continue to post and write about ALL things Disney. Whether you want to see or read about Walt himself, or want to see the “Grumpy Cat” in a Disney photo/joke, you will find both at The Main Street Mouse. Again, we’re a diverse crowd. To me, having different interests makes things better. How boring would it be if we all liked the exact same things? No matter where you fall on the Disney fan spectrum, I’m hoping you will find things to keep you entertained and coming back for more. That’s my “job”, to keep our members happy, and to put out quality information and entertainment. Thank you for being part of our World here at TMSM, we appreciate you ALL, no matter what part of Disney you’re most interested in. It’s the fact that we all love Disney that keeps us growing.
